The sum of it
LTDC was founded by former magazine editor, Elaine Lloyd-Jones. After years of dictating shopping content to a sartorially astute audience, she realised there was a gap in the UK market for a brand which is in equal measures, accessible and effortlessly cool. Something that transcended lifestyles and occasions and that focused on a relaxed aesthetic. There seem to be plenty of cool mid-market brands popping up in the US and Australia, and although the British high street brands are doing a stellar job, we wanted something more unique, that isn't defined by trends or seasons and is still affordable. Ultimately we wanted wearing dresses and blouses to be easy – styles that work equally well with a pair of flat sandals, cool trainers or dress heels. And we felt there was a niche in the market for a British brand which did this. Something modest, that also championed an iconic and quintessentially British wardrobe staple like the tea dress.
